History

Most of my family came from Ireland.  I am not sure at what point and time but I know that that's were they came from.  Ireland consists of a large central lowland of limestone with  relief  hills and several coastal mountains. Influenced by the relatively warm waters of the Gulf Stream, and with the  southwesterly winds coming from the Atlantic, the climate of Ireland and the temperatures are the same over the whole country. In 1996, the population of the State was 3,626,087. About 60% of the people live in cities and towns of 1,000 or more inhabitants. The name of the State is Éire, or in the english language, Ireland.  The National Holiday is March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, named after the Patron Saint of Ireland.  The English language reached Ireland during the Middle Ages, but the first flowering of English literature in Ireland came in the eighteenth century.
